Hi,
We’re having problems with our Bosch serie 6 washer/dryer.
It’s about 6 years old. The model number is WVG30461GB/03.
It has begun to stop mid cycle and what sounds like the dryer starts up. This goes on for some time and then everything stops and it is just frozen.
It doesn’t seem to matter what program we are running. It has done it on several washing cycles and also when it is on a drying cycle. It can happen at any point in the cycle. When it has happened, turning the control knob does nothing other than when placed into the off position (it turns off). The touch screen buttons respond but only to indicate that it is locked. Turning it back on continues the frozen dryer issue, so only switching it off at the plug and leaving it gets it to reset.
It doesn’t resume the program, we have to start again and keep our fingers crossed.
Never had any error codes. All filters and pipes are free of clogging.
I have taken the fascia off and had a good look at the operating module (https://www.bosch-home.co.uk/store/11020139#/Tabs=section-fitsappliance/Togglebox=manuals/). It shows no sign of scorching or damage. I know it might also be an issue with the control module, dryer module or motor module?
I’m happy to make any repairs myself, but I’m aware that for the cost of replacing all of these boards, I might as well buy a new machine.
Looking for best guesses and any expert advice.
Thanks
