The oven i brought for my new flat is Bosch HBS534BS0B

I have a cooker circuit thats on 40 amps fed in a think its 6mm not sure it might be 10mm is there any easy way to tell 6 and 10mm apart?

If the cirxuit is downgraded to 16 amps can that oven be wired into the cooker outlet point

the MCB is ther e toprotect the cable from MCB to cooker.if the cable is 6.0mm then a 32A MCB is fitted. if the cooker uses less, then as long as the MCB rating is above the actual current requirements, it complies

Agreed, that is the main purpose of the MCB, but it's good practice to ensure it doesn't exceed the max. possible current by too much, just to reduce the size of the bang (technical term, also known as let through energy) if a short circuit occurs, if nothing else.

The oven 2.9kw which is 13amps so its 3 amps under the 16 amp breaker does it comply and as its not arrived yet I cant see the specs for installation
