I have just noticed brown lines on my kitchen ceiling. They are not wet or damp too touch this is the 1st time I've noticed them. I have checked other ceilings nothing. The shower is above the kitchen. Hoping it's not a leak.
Now I had a plumber out before christmas doing some work. One was when the washing machine is on there is a banging when it's filling. He changed pressure or something. Seemed to quieten it for a while. But has come back as loud even when using up stairs tap or flushing toilet in last couple of weeks.
Sorry for stupid questions this is not my area and have no family to ask for advice. I have reached out to plumber no answer. Left message to call asap. Don't know if I should call home insurance. Don't want the ceiling collapsing in on us. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
