I have a BS 546 2 amp connection in the loft which runs a TV signal amplifier, the house is rented so I can go changing things. Is there anything I can do to get a standard 3 3 pin BS 1363 running from it...

I have limited electrical knowledge (I wouldn't be here otherwise!) can I just splice something together?

Without any further information, I'd guess that the 2A BS546 is supplied from the lighting circuit and as such, is there to limit the load being connected to it.
