ceilings. This can be achieved by proper design, choice and installation of electrical equipment. To avoid the ingress of solid foreign objects, boxes and enclosures installed in prefabricated hollow walls liable to be drilled during erection of the wall shall have a degree of protection of at least IP3X.

I guess that to be safe this will apply to any enclosure in a "cavity". The majority of enclosures I am aware of are IP2X or much higher (expensive) IP5+. Are you guys aware of an economical IP3X enclosure?​

It does say prefabricated hollow walls which i take to mean the pre made bolt together bathroom pods etc they install in new flat developments-i could well be wrong though!
