Hi All

Just a quick question that i need some information on

I have recently had some one do some work in my office and it has taken me ages to get the BS 7671 from him but i think that it is wrong.
The work he done was removing a 16mm 3 phase and neutral tail from a joint meter box and reconnect to a separate meter box. (both offices on same floor where powered from same junction bock leading to only one office paying for the bill we required both offices to have separate power so both could be billed both meters were already in place in the junction box)
should he have gave me a certificate to say that the circuit was tested after the installation or should there be any other paper work with his 7671.

Thank you

The bs7671 is the regs, you should have had the. Installation tested even if on a basic level but as its a commercial property so won't be covered by part p, so the spark who done it may need to retest and maybe issue the right certificate, hope this helps

Here it is ..... http://www.amazon.co.uk/Requirement...=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1353355419&sr=1-1

An absolute bargain at only ÂŁ60. :)

I would think that the OP is indeed getting his terminology wrong and it's a certificate that he is looking for.

I'm not sure though who has done this work, it maybe the meter company that have done this, after all us sparks are not suppose to touch meters...............

If it is the supplier that did the work, then the OP will be waiting a long time for any sort of BS 7671 certification

unless, of course, they're landlord's meters. wew need more details, like what paperwork has been issued. etc?
