Hi there,

Does anyone have a complete list of all the BS EN symbols? There was a link on one of the other threads but it is now broken.

I have to add the correct BS EN symbols to an architectural plan in regards to installing an electric shower. The consumer unit is already on the plan however, I need the symbol for an electric shower (I'm assuming this would just be a load symbol with details) and I need the symbol for a double pole pull chord (isolater).

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks

Nick

slight digression, but regards symbols anyway. been trying to get software to draw plans ( mainly domestic and small comm/ind.) for buildings and showing position of electrical equipment. must be easy to use and contain UK symbols, not bloody american ones ( e.g socket outlets, which are totally different ). anyone know of any good software out there, free or at least cheap.

Telectrix - did you ever find any decent software with uk standard electrical symbols? Just been looking for the same and came across your post above, but that seemed to be the end of the thread! I know Lenny said there are symbols in the back of the OSG, but they are very basic and incomplete (not even the standard symbol for a DB).

I have searched everywhere for a cheap electrical installation design package - but they are either non UK, micky mouse, or ÂŁ1000.00 plus.

Any help appreciated.

Okay, this is a bit late, have you tried Microsoft Visio, within that you can make and import any symbols that you want (although there is loads) very easily.

Hi Mark - Yeah that's what I have been using although not ideal, good for simple architectural drawings, but not a comprehensive set of installation symbols, which is what I need. And I cannot find a good set of uk electrical symbols to import?

I have a fairly complicated installation to convert into schematic form for a client and it is turning into a nightmare.

Thanks for input.
