Hi i am doing a new build and the metering company are asking for a bs 7671 certificate. Surely i can not produce a certificate before i have power to test. Sorry i am a bit confused. Thanks for your help

Presumably they want evidence of inspections and dead testing having been conducted.

they might want test from a genny then test on normal supply

When metering come to our newbuild they want a copy of the dead tests this must be what they mean. I have never been made to power up with genny First.

I spent a few years working for the now dufunct Seeboard in the SE of england, if it is the same they are as stated above asking for all the dead test results.
