Have had a series of refurbs to do, from a builder pal of mine and as usual there always the budget to keep to.

I thought i'd give these a go TD Line 2 Gang 13 Amp Single Pole Switched Socket - Trading Depot

For the price, I have yet to find anything as cheap that feels and looks as good as any of the more known brands. The actual socket/switch backsie, not the face plate, are almost identical to Click switches and sockets.

Will be using again on the cheaper end jobs deffo

Their CU and RCBOs are good too for the cheaper jobs.

That socket looks very much like the click version which be a good to go from me

We tend to use GET ultimate or re-branded 'Wilts plus', cost very slightly more but they do look very good (on flat surfaces)

Edit: TDline RCBOs look like MK rebrands?

Why not get your builder friend to supply them, as if any faults occur with the cheap range of accessories it could become a expensive lesson for your self.

I like the cheaper MK sockets for low budget usage........I can't bring myself to use really cheap makers as they feel and look very flimsy and I keep thinking what are the copper/brass parts inside like if the plastic is that bad....could they overheat, etc..

I think I'd rather pay the extra 30p per socket and get Crabtree myself, can't stand cheap sockets they look and feel rubbish plus I sleep better knowing the customer has a good quality accessory :)

Where do you get Crabtree for 1.80? Any job thats wanting to pay, then I always use Click mode for white accessories

Crabtree terminal are poor, that's why I stopped using them years ago.

They are identical to click sockets and even the switches are the same a click as in they will take the mini grid modules from click range.

Not at all, hes getting a 6 month warranty on all sockets switches. Even CED last that long and they're worse than these

Hager sockets are pretty cool IMO and fairly cheap, agree about the Crabtree terminals as well, crabtree was a great make at one time, the sockets are poor now IMO, the terminals won't secure the cables like they used to, the hole is too big for the little screw in it and cables can get lodged to the side of the screw, very poor, JMO.

I got cef down to 1.79+ vat for DP 2g switched sockets in Crabtree, deal was if I had 50 at once, however they still charge the same if I have 5. They rob me on other Crabtree stuff though!
