Hi, keep seeing on this building programmes like home under the hammer, that by the sink and the cooker or hob, sockets and isolator well within the in 300 mm I thought you had to keep away right or left, I think it a building reg rather than electrical reg. just want to see people view.

Its not in BS7671, but common sense prevails again as Tels post. But it is covered in the Electricians guide to the building regs, so it must (not sure) fall under Part P.
 
Hay up Sirkit Breaker, hows things? :)

30cm flex on end of kettle should not be able to fall into the sink whilst the wife is washing the pots and pans (unless you dont like her any more lol)
