Got a strange fault to rectify come Monday. There is 2 light fittings controlled by one switch. Intermittently when the switch is switched on the furthest lights blow and the mcb trips. However the nearest lights bulbs are fine and can be switched back on when the mcb is restored. This happens intermitently but customer is spending a fortune on bulbs. There is currently 2 2 gang 2 way switches but only one is in action. The one controlling the lights. There was wall lights in that have been taken out..... How I don't know.,,,

Any ideas on this?

Loose connections in the feed to the second light causing a flicker in the current supply?
Overheating light fitting, cheap bulbs? lots of vibration at the second light?
Just some possibilities.
