Bulbs keep blowing in my house, Why ?

Whats your voltage .... mines 250 and lamps dont last too long. As other said cheap bulbs from Asda??

Yeh, I have tested the voltage its 230 etc.

IT ONLY HAPPENS ON THE STAIR LIGHTS AND KITCHEN WHERE WE HAVE 3 IN EACH FITTING AND IT ONLY TAKES A WEEK OR SO FOR 2 TO GO POP.

WHEN THEIR IS ONLY ONE LEFT WORKING IT WILL LAST FOR MONTHS

are they gu10 or 12v capsules in the fittings.

Their all 230 not low voltage

are they ES lamps or GU10 ( mains downlight lamps )

OH sorry,

Their not downlighters just normal screw fit etc

the centre contact pins are bent to far back, they need bending out again, it causes a lose connection to the lamp and they begin to arch slightly makes them fail prematurely.

Try planting them in the garden, you will have some nice daffodils in the spring.

No problem it's a common problem with Edison screw cap lamp holders.
