Are there any rules or regulations around installing low voltage wiring into a bathroom for a security alarm?

No sensors are required in the bathroom itself but may be required due to the design of the house.

Any thoughts welcome...

I assume it is 12V so it is ELV not LV - we have been studying alarms at college and no one has mentioned any restrictions to do with special locations.
