exactly that. What have you got on your cards other than your name, phone number but what description? pictures? I've spent the afternoon with my brother trying to design some cards, flyers etc, and was just curious.

As you've said.......name, phone number, e-mail, web.

Scheme providers logo along with a brief description of services......industrial, commercial, agricultural, alarms, testing etc.

Don't get too bogged down with info an business card , people just want your number. I would pay extra tho on the standard of card as it always sends out a sign of quality rather than on cheap thin card like the vista print ones scream out cheap.

On mine is business name/logo, my name, phone, email and scheme logo.

Kept them clear and simple. A business card is to give someone a point of contact and not a full blown advert. IMO anyway.

Works for me

Thanks all, I've had vista print ones in the past, no way will i get them again, apart from the fact that they scream cheap, they are a funny size, every time i handed one out that's what people said!

Keep it simple seems tho be the moto! thank you!

Local printers. Always find them the best place. None of this order online and have to settle for what they send you.

Also got some work from them too.

any advice on where to get decent ones (better than the Vista print ones) and cost per card?

I buy top quality business card paper in packs from WH Smiths or similar. I use the shiny type. designed my own card, kept it basic but bold.

Name, address, phone numbers, Elecsa logo and reg number.

Cost me about ÂŁ10 for 80 with the ink, dont have to mess about ringing printers, and if i need to alter it then i can do it myself for free without waiting.;)

Cheers..........Howard

I use the back of the business card to advertise what I do otherwise it is advertising space that is wasted as said before keep the front simple for name, logo and contact info
