Finishing off a rewire today, the chap who's house it was LOVES to talk etc etc.. Anyhow, he decide to start nailing down his own floorboards.... I come up the stairs a while later, and can smell gas, he's gone through an old lead pipe, which he swore was dead..
Apparently it was our fault as we'd left it unfixed! we hadn't even finished.
Didn't you use the old holes??' I asked..'no you don't do that'..
Anyhow, he's paying for the repairs, they have no heating tonight, and it's flipping cold tonight in Manchester.
