Hi All,

My toolkit seems to have disappeared in the past few months- generally handtools and bits and bobs. Instead of buying from the usual expensive suppliers I am wondering if anyone buys online either ebay or other online shops? Can anyone recommend somewhere to save a few quid?

Like Steve said,
Ebay is superb, but only buy from top rated sellers or sellers with good feedback.
Lots of rubbish out there.

Hope this helps,
Sav

got my megger 1552 from ebay. ÂŁ150 and perfect. few bits and bobs as well. for anything expensive as has been said, use sellers with 100% feedback and always pay with paypal. then you've got redress if somebody rips you off.

For the cheap basic stuff I love Toolstation Toolstation because you can see if it's in stock and postage is usually free.
For power tools I was impressed by Anglia Tools Power Tools UK - DIY Hand & Power Tools Online at Anglia Tool Centre and got Bosch Pro stuff at the best prices and great service.
PVR Direct Draper Tools, Sealey Tools, telescopic Ladders, Stanley tools, dewalt tools, shops in PVR Direct.co.uk are good to deal with and I bought screwdrivers, angle grinder and tool box from them.
I usually decide what I want then google for it to get it at the best price, which is usually less than eBay taking P&P into account.
I seem to be alone in hating eBay but there are too many crooks on it for my liking.

toolstop delevery is ace free if over certain amount normaly next day or same day for a bit more within a certain radius also Within distance for me to pick up

generaly check prices at as many online as you can

CK tool shop took order but didnt have some of stuff instock delivery took a week :(:( also found stuff slightly cheaper

tool shop direct service was good n delivery times were better than stated
