seen advertised 2377-11 and 2377-12 and now 2377-10 and 2377-20

whats the difference between them?

1. City and Guilds 2377-11 Management of electrical equipment maintenance.
2. City and Guilds 2377-12 Inspection and testing of electrical equipment.
These courses enable you to manage PAT testing and undertake PAT testing.
This course option includes both the City & Guilds 2377-12 Operators Registration and Examination and the City & Guilds 2377-11 Management Qualification.
Every item of electrical equipment in a commercial environment is required to be PAT tested, that is it has been tested as being safe to use and has been marked safe, whether it be a kettle, toaster or computer.
These two day 'practical' workshops cover everything necessary to successfully achieve the City and Guilds certifications. The courses includes both a theory element and practical elements.
We take you through the practical disciplines and formal recording processes, as well as preparing you for the online City and Guilds 2377 tests.
Course Content Option 2377-12

Electrical Safety
Regulations role and responsibilities
Insulation and earthing
Classification of appliances
Preliminary Inspection, test precautions
Using a Portable Appliance Tester
Essential tests
Optional tests
Labeling tests
Reporting and recording results

Course Content Option 2377-11

Law and scope of relevant legislation
Types, use and testing of electrical equipment.
Categories, frequency and practicalities of PAT testing
Procedures, documentation and user responsibility
Identify training required for PAT testing
Appropriate test instruments and how they are used.

These are the 2 that I did - 11 & 12.

As for the other 2......never heard of em.

yeah same here Lenny my son is gonna do the course and he has spotted 2377-10 and 2377-20 so was confused

Perhaps it was 2377-100 and 2377-200?

If I'm not mistaken, the 2377-100 is the GOLA exam for the 2377-11 qualification, and ther 2377-200 is the GOLA exam for the 2377-12 qualification (which also requires a practical assessment during the course).

Don't worry - City & Guilds numbering can be quite confusing at times...
