C&G 2399 Course

Evening all. Could anyone tell me if, to do the above course, is it best to get some experience working installing panels, before doing the course. And is it worth doing. I already have 2392, and the 2382 but not done the 2391 inspecting and testing yet. Cheers.

I was going to ask the same question to be honest, I will be getting 2392 soon and 2391 in sept.
Is it worth paying the £700 i have been told to do the course. Is there that much work out there?
And like fredrico says, should I gain some experience before doing the course?

I have not done the 2399 course, I did an ECO skies course and to be honest the electrical side is not that taxing if your already a qualified electrician.

I have to admit that of all the training I have done I think the PV course is the most specialised not just the electrical side but all the other bits and pieces you need to get to become accredited.

As for work I believe that it maybe one of the few areas in the Electrical industry that is still growing, as long as the FIT tax is applicable then I'm sure it will still continue to grow, whether it as reached saturation point yet perhaps a PV lad will tell.
