Hi everyone,

Just been looking at th C&G website for the 5357 in my lunch break. I see their is a hotel, pool & cafe drawing assignment which I can download & access but the questions pack is passworded.
Does anyone have the questions so I can see whats involved & have a go at home?

Thanks

It's not really a question type assignment. You are given the scenario and systems information. Your job will be to design and spec the proposed alteration/additional works.

You will need to show cable calcs, drawings and technical information on the equipment you choose

I did something like this on my 2400 many years ago so I was wondering if the format these days is still hard copies with schematic, paper and pen or is it electronic.

Here's the floor plan but I dont know how the sinario is worded.

Yes that's the one. Thanks think there is a few proposed jobs they can choose from. Ours was a new extension to the hotel that. The new extension was the rooms in the schematic, the cafe area and the kitchen. We had to design it all. Cable size, type, length. Containment, installation method. Pick the fittings and accessories. Cable calcs, volt drop, de-rating factors. Emergency lighting and points of isolation etc etc.

Ours took quite a few weeks because our lecturer wouldn't take it if something was wrong, and rightly so.

It was a learning curve, it's amazing how many times the cable size or type was changed because of volt drop or overloading, then the breaker changed etc etc. Quite fun actually.
