C&G says new research, released at the World Skills 2011 competition, shows that the UK is nation of Sparkies (aspiring Sparkies more like!). 80,110 people took electrical installation qualifications in the past year by far the most popular qualifications in the UK. The regional breakdown revealed the hot spots were:- South 14,447, East 9,051, West Midlands 8017 and Yorkshire 6,621.
