When it comes to cutters, pliers etc what you do buy ?

I was always a Knipex man.....
Until I tried NWS.

All three are capable and up to the designed task,although price does seperate them,somewhat.

If i was diving the Marianas trench,or goint to Mars,and could only take one set......it would be Knipex.

if i were going to Mars, i'd take a Snickers and a Twix. seriously though , NWS and Bahco for me.

Out of all 3 , I do prefer the rubbery grips on NWS gear

I find the harder CK / Knipex handles a bit slippy if your hands are a bit greasy

I have always fancied trying Kleins but just can't justify the new retail price, but I'm always on the look out for a cheap set on Ebay

knipex for the red/blue/yellow insulated crimp tool cost £65but narrow jaws so you do 1 end at a time. adjustable pressure so that you can do the awkward yellow oned on 6mm in 2 stages.

...Now we've opened up the debate,i can vouch for Klein and Bahco,but i have some older Gedore insulated stuff,and it's still mint.

To be fair,i have a pair of Elliot Lucas pliers,a mate of me dad gave me,when i was 8 ? grey,plastic handles,and i'm glad they can't speak ?

Elliot Lucas, now there's a blast from the past. They were real engineering tool manufacturers. In the name of progress they were bought up.
James Neill was a tool making conglomerate, based in Sheffield, which included not only Britool but Eclipse, M&W, P S Stubbs and Elliott Lucas.
James Neill is now part of Spear and Jackson.
Britool were sold to Facom in 1991.

Draper Expert Ergo, even though I've got a set of tht Knipex install pliers, I find myself reaching for my Drapers

You've chosen 3 good brands. I've tried them all and liked them all. I don't remember any real difference. I tend to use CK, although I don't know why. I've probably just been brain washed somewhere along the way.
