I recently upgraded someones old rewire able consumer unit with wylex mcb's.

The problem being the kitchen lights are all on 1 old torrodo transformer so every time they turn the lights on i think the surge is tripping the b type 6a. I can't seem to find a c type or a b10

Any advice???

I suppose if there aren't i would either have to put the 6a re-wirerable back in or upgrade the tranny???

what design stage. all i was doing was upgrading the re-wireables to trip switches to minimise inconvenience. how did i know the down lights were all on one transformer???
The design stage where you were undertaking the calculations and circuit assessments to ensure that your modifications would not have an adverse affect on the existing circuits, and that the completed works would comply with BS7671.
Which it is patently obvious from your post that you either neglected to do, thus going against the requirements of BS7671, and EAWR (in case any one else had to work on the circuits in an employed situation after you were there), and CDM requirements, or, you were totally incompetent to assess the situation?

Your call, either you could not be bothered to do it correctly, or you are incompetent, which is it?
