i know your your not suppose to run t&e in contact with polystyrene cause of the chemical reactions over time, but what about celotex and plasterboard with insulation backing? can't find anything written down. been to look at a rewire and the loft has celotex between joists and some of the external walls are to boarded out in it. any advice on this would be great?

Hi, I have just joined as I have a question relating to your posting which does not appear on any thread I have searched. To add insult to injury I have failed to find our how to start my own first posting!

Anyway I too am in the process of doing a loft conversion and although I have the latest regs I believe there are very new regs regarding cabling in wall and ceiling insulation. I am using Celotex with a 10mm air gap above the celotex between rafters. The regs I have still state clipping cable above the insulation is OK, but I wonder if this is still the case - can you point direction please.
