Cable ducting under new kitchen floor slab

I want to lay conduit under a 100mm concrete kitchen floor slab that will be poured in a couple of weeks time (to complete a ring and connect a kitchen island). This will be in preparation for my electrician to do all wiring once the builders are done.

Does anyone know if I will need to use (very expensive) PVC sheeted steel conduit in this situation (LT-PVC FLEXIBLE CONDUIT 25mm | KOPEX | Conduit) or if normal PVC conduit (KOPEX - EF150022X10 - CONDUIT, FLEXIBLE, 25MM, 10M REEL: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics) will do given the 100mm concrete on top with no real danger of anyone accidentally digging up the cable?

Also, given that it is encased in conduit and mechanically protected, will T+E cable be suitable or will I need SWA?

how much is the kitchen costing? how much is the cost of ducting the cable properly?

This may be a silly question but why haven't you asked the electrician who will be doing the job what he will need and when?

I would get the Electrician to run the conduit (in metal), would not entertain any you have suggested. As for pulling t&e through on RFC (2 cables ) tight. Conduit is designed for singles.

You need to install a suitable cable duct that is of appropriate size for how many cables that are going to be installed in it.
you need to consider whats being installed on the kitchen island if you are having the likes of sockets, lighting, induction hob etc.

Best advice is to call your electrician to come have a look.

A nice lump of ABS 32mm waste pipe with solvent weld elbows is the way to go.

10M runs of Kopex under the floor, good luck to the spark pulling cables through that. Never seen Kopex used for that, by the time the builders have finished standing and trampling over it it won't be much use at all either

Never install flexible conduit in or on the slab (prior to screed), 9 times out of 10 it will collapse under the weight of the concrete/screed mix and the builders walking over it during the pouring . As already been advised, get your electrician in NOW who will advise on the correct size and type of conduit/duct and will install said system as to not cause damage to the cables being pulled in during installation....
