can buy from elec,center. make fron galv. conduit + boxes, or a length of galv conduit between 2 stepladders

I built one out of scrap copper pipes which is too light but is OK for phone cable/coax etc, and I built one out of an ironing board which works brilliantly but can be a bit tricky to get the cable on (but not that tricky)

I use a Spoola and find it a god send.

Trouble is, i think they now use a weld rather than a bolt to hold the chain and its easily snapped.

Spoola good but tricky on a domestic Rewire we find when have 2 drums of 2.5 and a drum of 6.0 seem to tangle up a lot
Maybe it's just our dumb apprentice not coiling them off proper

The Thorsman is really good, I have 4 in total. You can also add another arm underneath the top one for additional lighter drums.

They can be fiddly, but i also just use one spool at time.

New rolls are a PITA as the cable can "fall off" the side of the reel.

Fine once you get a few turns out of it though, and you get the hang of using them.

Gotta agree with Lenny. The cablestik is the best around IMO.
I wouldn't be without it now.

I know it isn't domestic but after you've finished piping a galv job, a couple of foot of 25mm galv in the pipe vice of your shortie works a treat for wiring.
