Cable Jointer Apprentice Recruitment

Hi Guys & Girls

Could I pick your collective brains please, I am based in outer London / Kent border but I have to recruit at least a couple of new cable jointer apprentices up North, one in Newcastle and one somewhere in the Hull to Leeds/Bradford corridor in the coming months.

How would you go about it?

I was thinking of approaching FE colleges or schools in those areas, any better ideas gratefully received.

They need to be able to drive and have minimum A to C English, Math & Science, so 17/18 – 30 years old.

Would they have people looking for that side of the industry ?

Thought they would just deal with the domestic / commercial sparks but worth an ask as I still have some contacts in JTL, thanks.

Could contact the electrical dept at hull college and see if they have any candidates that would be interested ?

You could contact the national apprenticeship service. They can manage key aspects of the recruitment information.
You will still need to organise the recruitment and training unless you use an agency.
There are a few steps to got through to get it right, but it should provide some funding as well (if you are lucky).
