Cable Maximums For Back Boxes

As above, is there a reg that actually tells you a maximum size of cable allowed per depth of box or is it just a guideline used? ie Max for 25mm, 35mm, 45mm depth of metal back boxes?

I don't think there is a such but like everything the reg 120.1 covers everything electrical that does not have a direct regulation

Reg 522.8.1 A wiring system shall be selected and erected to avoid during installation, use or maintenance, damage to the sheath or insulation of cables and their terminations.

Think this one could apply to shallow back boxes being used on heavier cables.
