Hi Everyone, I am wiring a new single story extension. Bringing down drops to sockets except one where there is no zone as its a pillar between two patios and above is a porthole window, therefore I have to use the floor. The sub floor is already concreted. If I put cable in 20mm plastic conduit and clip to the floor would that be ok? The floor insulation (celotex) is 50mm and could be cut around the conduit. Then the wood floor lays on top. The conduit at 20mm would be less than the 50mm celotex insulation around it. Would that comply in your opinion?
Kind Regards, Dave

A real wood floor or laminated wood floor?? On floating floors with Celotex or similar insulation panels they usually lay 10 or 12mm plywood or similar sheets on top of the insulation panels. They lay the finish on top of that... Well all the ones i've seen anyway...

Either way, i wouldn't be worrying too much, after all your sockets are going to be protected by additional protection via a cure-all RCD, ....Right?? lol!!

RC what's that now? Naturally. Thanks for your advise and reassurance. Stupid porthole window. I wanted to get on!!!!
