Cables and trunking.

Hello. Could anyone tell me what would be the best size plastic trunking for 2.5mm square cable internally? my guess is probably 16mm square but not sure.

As telectrix says, although the updated reg applies to ALL cable support systems whether or not they are in an escape route, common sense could be used to assess whether a particular length of trunking/cable/conduit would prematurely collapse in the event of a fire.

That wont be substantial, what's to stop the cabling falling out when the lid melts off?

if the penny washers are pre-decimalisation, about 8 ft.lbs.

Struggling to decide whether I think you're being serious or not with this one...

I don't like the penny washer idea. Sounds like a fine line between trying to secure the trunking to the wall but not damage the cables. The cable should not form the middle of the sandwich.

Don't scrimp on the job, get some proper D clips. Sounds like an advertising slogan that - they can buy the rights to use that if they want. Now where's that copyright symbol?
