Now, we all know that cables in walls have to be either RCD protected, deeper than 50 mm or in steel conduit.
My question is, would metal flexible conduit count?
We install a lot of cables in petition walls for offices and installing rigid conduit is a non starter, RCD's add a lot to cost, the walls are often only 50mm thick and the other option I have just thought of (guardian cable) is also expensive

I doubt it would offer the same protection as solid steel conduit if someone hangs something with a screw or hammers in a nail.

Sorry, the point I am getting at is does it comply, no doubt steel conduit wont be penetrated, but the guardian cable complies as it is completely wrapped in a metal sheath so it shorts out, whilst I am on the subject of guardian, it should only be used with B type breakers

If the conduit is to BS61386 and satisfies the requirements for a protective conductor then yes. I doubt if the flexible stuff does though.
