Ducting for the bigger and therefore heavier single and multi core cable also has it's own problems. Pulling such cables into the duct can, if not carried out correctly rip the sheath's to shreds.
Great care has to be afforded to cables entering the duct, also the pulling at one end and the guiding at the other, needs a degree of co-ordination. It is also a great help if the ends of ducts are provided with ''Bell Ends'' which afford a degree of smooth entry, and therefore protection. Without those Bell Ends, the chances of incurring serious sheath damage is going to be ''High''
As i've stated previously, the bigger Main contractors or electrical contractors, will have all the necessary equipment in order for these cables to be installed without incident.
