cables inside 75mm wall and celotex

Hi All,

when running cables in walls of this size any recommendation for installation methods as space is tight,

currently all the cables are running in front of celotex (timber stud with not much space) but although RCD protected would you install conduit/trunking inside but this would mean cutting celotex and affecting part L?

Cables do not need any form of mechanical protection when protected by an RCD.

agree with last post. saves you hassle as well. don't want to fall foul of building regs.,

I know but wondered if anyone did usually most i do are brickwork and plastered over also with no conduit - i know it's not an issue but does look good and makes cable sliding in and out nice and easy.

That's true but then that goes into a discussion about best practises and also cost, that's the differences between each spark....as long as you meet regs the world is your lobster...

Does the foam core of the Celotex damage the PVC of T&E cable like polystyrene?
