Calibration certs?

Ive been told after 10 years of calibrating my tester every year that for domestic installs I dont actually need to have it calibrated? I will obviously calibrate it but maybe once in a while rather than every year like I have if this is true?

The NICEIC now have said that if you prove the calibration of your MFT monthly with check boxes, another calibrated meter, designated socket etc, and have documented proof of the calibration, then as long as there is no wander you have no need to have a yearly calibration done by a calibration service.

As Durham as said though, this is just the NICEIC, but i'm sure others will follow suit soon, but best check with your own scheme.
