Hi

I have a checkbox (CCB1), it does the continuity and insulation checks BUT how do I do the Loop and RCD tests with the checkbox which does not have these facilities on?

I have read that you should have a dedicated circuit to do the loop and rcd tests.

Can someone please explain in more detail please?

Instructions not very clear so a walkthough guide would be most welcome.

Just install a dedicated, non RCD protected socket next to your CU and label it for test purposes only. As long as you test it with a recently calibrated meter first to prove the readings then you can use it to prove your meter.

Need to double check readings with a calibrated tester at regular intervals though, make sure they havn't changed

Hi Lenny,

How comes I have to use a Non RCD socket??

I thought it has to be a socket which is RCD protected?

Excellent :-) The case and leads are in good condition. Two live leads, one with a test button. Looks like ÂŁ30 well spent.
