I was called by the client to do final live test & issue EIC. Not so straight forward, not all cable chases have been plastered and a couple of areas where boarding has still to be completed. So annoying, anybody else come across this?

The plastering of chases isn't required for issuing an EIC, assuming you have secured the cables in the chases properly?

only problem is that further testing will need tobe carried out after plasterer and boarders have cut/screwed/nailed cables.:eek::eek:.

I always walk away from a first fix with insulation and continuity tested. I do it again when I go in for second fix to confirm all is well post builder / plasterer. Not sure what I would say if I went back and it wasn't 'ready' for second fix. @davesparks - I didn't know that - interesting.
