here's one then. a dry lining box that is circular,( no more ragging with padsaw, just hole saw), standard lugs for single sockets that are designed to fit, and a back box designed for lath and plaster walls

The circular dry lining box is already out there Tel.

Fused spurs where the earth terminals were away from the fixing holes , and as been said a little more space and larger connections in light fittings , and one of my biggest grips is the quality of fittings , i would like them to look good ,work first time no faulty ones and last longer that 6 months

when you say fittings do you mean in general or the fitting lugs?? there are some quality products out there but like anything you pay a premium for them and with cost influencing design so much this is an ongoing issue/battle between ourselves (designers) and accounts. We always try to design quality products but we also have to balance the cost implications, again though keep the ideas coming because i will show them all this feedback to help ourselves out to prove what the customers really want!!

cheers

Haha funny, all these things i get annoyed at as well. What i want to know is why supply light switches with farting little screws that hardly ever reach the metal box, vans full of the things, why not just give us socket length ones to begin with we can always cut them to length.

and get rid of the stupid screws that are supposed to take either flat drivers or pozi, but don't fit any driver known to man.
