Hi, I hope I can get some help here.
I was wondering, I opened my cupboard a few days ago and noticed this on the door, it looks like it has been burnt?

I didnt have that chest of draws in there before, it was packed tight with clothes before I cleaned it out....could it have started a fire?
My TV works fine but im going away in a few days and im worried it will burn my house down while im gone.

What shall I do, replace it or is it fine?

the marks on the wardrobe are nothing to go by. check that the cable sheath is not damaged and is not excessively warm. dammn rough job, whichever way you look at it. should never surround any cable with clothes or anything insulating or flammable. i'd get a sparks in to re-route and properly secure the cable. by the way it's been installed, there could be other possible problems, like a choc block and tape wherever it's been connected.

Is that definitely the power cable? Could be white coax?? Daz

Is there anything else in that cabinet at the level of the "burn", like a DVD player or sky/digi box? looks like it might just be a build up of dust blowing out the back of an appliance.
