can any electrician install landlords electric meters

hi a newbie here, i have been asked to quote to install landlords electric meters in my local area, but i have no experience in this. I'm guessing its the coin opperated type, and i dont suppose they are dificult to install, but i'm unsure as to weather i can just go ahead and install, or would need to inform energe suppliers, building control, etc. i'm qualified and registered to Elecsa.

Yes you can, it's notifiable work and you may need to talk to the DNO about the main supply.....main fuse size etc. How many flats/rooms from one supply?

Just re-read the question. This work may be beyond you if you are what we affectionately call a Electrical Trainee, are you a time-served spark? If yes, then it should be a straightforward job.....if not then don't bite off more than you can chew!

yea time served 15+ years, but only 3 years self employed, just never done one or these. curious though, never heard the phrase Electrical Trainee. what does this mean?

Great then go for it! You're more experienced than me. Electrical Trainee = 5 week wonder, someone who has done a fast-track course but has no experience in the field.

Have a good look at the job, and work out what your max demand is likely to be. I'd speak to the DNO at that stage.
