Hi there,I have a question for anyone who can help...

I have tried wiring up my ballast and ignitor and am wondering if i have done it correctly, I have drawn a quick diagram to show how i have done it and the manufacturers wiring diagrams at the bottom of this post.

I brought my ELT 250w ballast and ignitor from ebay for just ÂŁ20 inc delivery, I doesnt state that i need a capacator, but i think i do? if so which, because i dont have a clue.

Any help will be much appreciated

I believe a capacitor on a SON ballast only serves to improve power factor.

i thought capacitor's had to be installed, i changed a tridonic ballast & ignitor & left out the capacitor & it never worked.

100w m/h lamp capacitor was 12uf microfarrads ive forgot all i learnt as i dont practice as much.

the capacitor is Mostly for power factor correction some manufacturers have it in series Follow the diagram on ballast

whay are you growing Darkside?
