I have recently had a new combi boiler fitted after the old Ferroli died! I live in an ex council house so the wiring surrounding the boiler is a tad messy!!!
At the side of the boiler there's the fused socket, an alarm socket (for when the pressure gets too low, installed for the elderly tenant prior to me) and another socket box with wires for the old thermostat controller (see pics)
obviously the white fused box is the main power and the black cable coming from it is powering the new boiler. The fused box has a grey cable coming from the main fuse box and a grey cable comes from the same box to the old thermostat controller. A grey cable comes from the main fuse box and goes into the other white box (thermostat wiring box - assuming as the N + L) and another grey cable comes from this and goes to the thermostat controller (assuming its the addidtional L, A + B)
The white cable that comes out of the thermostat wiring box has the same colour wires as the thermostat connector block on the new boiler
Here is a picture of the connector blocks in the new boiler
pictures of the wiring diagram for connecting a thermostat from the boilers instructions
The wiring diagram from the wireless thermostat
rear connector of the wireless thermostat
Can anyone make head or tail of this to enable me to get this working?
I had an electrician out yesterday and he told me he wouldn't touch it and i'd need to get an electrical heating engineer!!
Am i right in saying i have all the cables?
I would like to 'tidy' the wires, take aways the alarm for low pressure and really just get the wireless controller working, i'd like to avoid blowing the house up!!! :wink5:
All help welcomed......
Thanks
Jodie
