As above I am looking for a CCTV camera tester.
Just to help with getting correct angles and checking feeds etc.
I dont do much of it so I dont want to spend a small fortune just want something functional and practical that will work with BNC connection cameras includeing HD ones.
There are just so many out there and I have no idea what would be the best way to go with them!!

Thanks all.

Will not do hd Tel.....A few on the market, but to be able to setup correctly, you need to access the cameras OSD menu.
This can be by the function switches in the camera, upline on the coax or by connecting to the data terminals. This will allow you to access features such as focus, digital zoom, auto zoom on movement, white light correct etc.
I personally used CCTV Mate, great 7" led display for hd and analogue cameras, tests vga and hmdi monitors. and has built in upline osd access.

Managed to get the links working on the Lappy this morning :)

Tazz, That tester looks awesome, Allthough ÂŁ200 is a little more than I was hoping to spend :p
That being said if thats what I gota spend then guess I will have to LOL

I did find this on Ebay though, its from China but looks like it would do the job?
3.5" LCD Sreen HD 1080P AHD/CVI/TVI Camera Test Monitor Tester PTZ Control UTP | eBay

System Q charged ÂŁ139 for the unit....But it is 7" Hq screen and that makes all the difference when setting up.
My old 3.5" look great when setting up, but put it on a large 22" led and you can see its settings are wrong.

Hey guys,

Just to give you all a update on this.

I decided to take a punt on the chinese 7" tft one like the one Tazz linked.

Anyways it arrived today and ive tried it out.
I am pleased with the unit and it works great once you figure out how to use it (instruction manual is as useless as usual).

I dont have any PTZ cameras so i cant test that feature but it worked great with the old domes and HD bullet cams i have here.

Only real gripes with it are minor ones.

- Chinese plug transformer with adapter (as expected really)

- The hand strap is a bit small, even for someone like myself with fairly small hands

- Could use a neck strap and rubber case

Other than that great bit of kit. well packaged, does the job its meant to and for the price cant grumble.
