hi all ,
anyone recommed a good make 360 degree PIR for internal corridors to swich cfl,
pretty sceptical with pir,s as all seem to be rubbish!

there to replace some timegaurd slv 360 e , even the tech guy at timegaurd said these where terrible and they had stopped making that model !

so any with proven track record ie fitted for over a year without problems

thanks in advance:waving:

Just overcook the rating of the PIR so that it can take plenty of current over the recommended rating and hope.
Most PIRs do not really like CFLs though I don't know why.
Steinel are fairly cheap and seem to be OK.
Normally I would rate anything from TimeGuard they seem to do the useful things and at a reasonable price, surprised you find there are problems.

one thing you may need to do with the PIRs switching cvontactors , is to fit a capacitor across the contactor coil. this fools the PIR into thinking it's not an inductive load.
