can fire alarm shut off music automaticly?

a pub owner asked me this question. sounds easy but i really have no ideal how to do it. becasue the music is so loud so people wont hear the alarm, is it possible the music circit can be switched off once fire alarm goes off?

i had a think, but no easy way to do it, anyone has this kind of experience?

The easiest way to do it would be to add an interface unit to your fire alarm system and then break speaker cables from music system through the com & NC contacts.

has the fre alarm panel got any outputs ( sounder circuit?) that can be used to power the coil of a contactor/relay, then put the audio system on a radial that is run through the NC contacts in the relay! Fire alarm goes off, power to relay, circuit opens no sound but the sounder circuit of the alarm.

the Interface and contactor ,radial option will be the best You could try and leave one AMP on for PA pourposes but if its only a jukebox contactor may work Check info on equipment as Iv been told some comes ready to take signals from F.A. systems Good luck

most panels afaik will have a 24vdc ouput for fire alarm condition.

can i use a 240ac relay spur from a ring?

what is the best location to put the relay? near the fire alarm control panel or the musical instrument?
