Im finishing my NVQ and was wondering if i am able to dead test the install without safe isolation as the building has not been supplied power yet off the road or should i still show (fabricate safe isolation.

Cheers

Carry out safe isolation on the dead circuit, this will prove to the assessors that you have the wherewith all and common sense as well as the electrical knowledge.

Working on a non energised circuit without doing this seems a pointless exercise, good luck

Sorry i wrote the question fast with grammatical errors but you still understood lol. Thanks very much foryour advice. I was caught in a loop as i know you dead test before you energise any new circuit or installation, but can understand if it was a periodic then you "should" carry out the safe isolation procedure.
Cheers.

on bigger jobs i temporary second fix the lot with some wagos and do insulation resistance on the installation every now and then. to make sure no kitchen fitter or builder messed up some cables.
