I posted earlier about the fact that I had no earth 0n the toilet light and I was going to use a fused spur for an extractor fan. The property was buit in early 60's and many light circuits were not earthed at that time.

Could I also supply the toilet light from the same spur to gain an earth there?
 
You could although, the earth issue in the house lighting really should be sorted out, especially if you are planning on using metal accessories etc.
