Can I run spur from shaver point in bathroom?

Hi I have an illuminated bathroom cabinet that I want to put into the bathroom. It’s 240v . I only have a 240:110 shaver point, so I wondered if it is possible to connect the cabinet someways?

has from this year all lights in a bathroom or other needs rcd protection ,it would be advisable to get a local spark to advise .

shaver points are generally fed from lighting circuit, so should be no problem.as buzz says, thought, the circuit must be RCD protected.

Is the mirror going to be situated in a zone ?
Is the mirror suitable for zone if so ?
Will the circuit be tested for safety and the work reported to building control if required ?

Just because it’s a manufactured bathroom cabinet mirror, it may not have the correct IP rating for the zone you want to situate it in. It’s worth checking mate.

If you read the connection instructions it will state which zones it can be installed in. This alteration should still be tested for safety once completed.
