Can somebody recommend a door access with intercom product please?

I look after a few offices near me and one of them wants to have a new intercom. I have done door access for the company i used to work for however i just had all of the materials provided for me.

My sales guy at CEF has priced me up a couple of products that use cat5 with a PSU based at the door end. I am more than happy with that but thought i would consult you guys and see if there are any products you always use etc.

The customer already has a mag fitted to the door which they say doesn't always catch (there is zero play in the mag) so i think it has been over tightened to be honest.

Also their existing key pad is anti tamper and to undo the face plate you need a key very similar to the ones you see on vending machines etc, a circular barrel with two pins on either side.

Does anybody know where i can buy these keys so i can remove the old pad without using the ol' hammer and chisel!

Videx or BPT do some good door access kits in both audio or video, depending upon which type of access system is required.

Screw flux do security bit sets. Take a look at them!

Check that the bit you require is in the set though!!

forget screwfix set, go to ifixit and get there one it is better

Have a look around for the key think where would You have kept the key. I'm actually fitting a videx system at the moment and the keypad key sounds the same as wot you have . I've been wondering where to keeping of the key safe on site I think it's going to be kept in psu with a label on cover so someone doesn't end up where you are

Videx system seems descent enough to me very simpl to understand
