please can someone confirm my working out of a annual return, as this is my first quote and just need confirmation that i have done it right.

the system is a 22 panel 180W bp mono system and i am assuming the customer will be exporting 50%

22 panels x 180W =3960W or 3.96kW

this will generate around 3788kwh annual (sma software told me this)

3788kwh x 41.3 = £1564.44p

1894kwh (50% exported) x 0.03p = £56.82p

1894kwn (50% demand saved) x = £224.81p

so the total return for the year = £1846.07p

and the total over 25 years = £46151.94p

i have not taken shading factors into account, but if i did what do i need todo to work shading factors out

Equation looks about right, but!, you shouldn't use the SMA expected yield, or if you do use software values you must also include SAP2005 on an equal prominence. SAP2005 must be used in a quotation. SAP2005, south facing at 30degree pitch and no shading is 3301kWh per annum

Fits at 41.3p per unit, Export at 3p per unit and saved energy at 11p per unit all looks in-line with what is required. Sums are correct. The export is at 50% until smart meters are rolled out.

If you used SAP2009 then the figures have been raised to give a higher expected yearly output!

ie. Values in Table H2 have risen.

Quite correct but I haven't yet had it confirmed by either MCS or REAL that we can yet use the SAP2009 figures in our quotations. It is one question I have on our REAL audit in February.

Hi stubo check out, encraft.co.uk great calculation tool, do you not give an overall prediction on indexed linked inflation to add to total over 25 years?
