I need to do a PIR for a family member as their letting agency have asked for a "landlord's certificate". It's a dead simple small property so I'm happy to do this as my first PIR. My question is am I ok to use the new form ahead of next January? If this is ok it makes sense for me to use this to get the experience rather than using an outdated one. Have printed out and it all looks straight forward.

Cheers :)

I can't see a problem since its not a statutory requirement to use the IET proformers.

Will just go ahead then, will seem funny filling in the "amended to" box with Jan 2012 when the date on the actual cert is Nov 2011 though!

The amendment was issued in July 2011 so the amended to applies to the issue date not the coming into force date. I think the wording is "BS7671:2008 incorporating amendment 1, 2011" or BS7671 AMD1 2011, however we put amended to 2011!

I am too slow spin

Complete guess, but it's probably cheaper to let a separate meter read a CT clamp and send the data to the charger's microcontroller using rs485...
