Can an installation with 2 x sma 1700 be submitted under g83/1 or would it be better in terms of DNO to go for dual mppt inverter in these bleak times?

yes you can but i would go for a power one pvi 3600 with 2 mppt's as long as your 2 string voltages are ok, download the software to check.

Now I'm worried, I ordered it yesterday for installation next week!

With regard to registering for fit with energy supplier - does it mean they have to of processed the application or just be receipt of it before December 1th?

re-read "3373-solar-pv-consumer-guide" and it definitely says that application must be with energy supplier! Think I'll get all sent by registered post!
